We Need Unity Among the Powerful Economies in the International System
By MA
Uniting together the powerful world’s economies is the key to achieving a more just and equitable world. China, the US, and Russia need to unite if vulnerable economies, particularly African countries can survive in the international system.
So, International law does not favor the very African countries who wish to see these powerful economies fragmented. And don’t misunderstand me with the concept of ‘balance of power’. Here, we are talking about unity. If there’s unity among them, every country will not have the tendency of dominance. And each of these powerful economies will equally peacefully Pursue their national interest.
And as Africans, you can ask yourselves, “What benefit has Africa got from seeing these powerful countries disunited?” It is axiomatic for everybody who understands the contemporary international system that the most powerful weapon we need to change the international rules to be more democratic, equitable, and just is to allow the countries that hold the world to become United.
